Yet Another Dr. Update

After a restless night, I woke up deteremined to find an answer to Katie Marie's mysterious rash/breakout. So I call the dermitologist first thing and got into to see him at 10 am. (when we got there, there was an hour wait) After Dr. Loven saw Katie Marie, he called it "viral exanthema" which just means she had a virus that caused her body to react the way it did. It's not contagious and there are too many viruses out there to figure out what she picked up. But we are to stay on our meds...steriod, antibiotic, perscription form of benedryl and motrin/tylenol for pain. He also wrote her a new percription for a topical gel. SHEW!!! I'm just glad we've figured out what it is and know it's not contagious. Katie Marie has been so good to let all the Drs. and nurses look her over. She has gotten a little anxious at times, but overall she's done GREAT! The spots on her arms and front of her legs are less pronounced today but the back of her legs still look horrible. (The Dr. today said she had done a good job at scratching. :)) Hopefully over the next couple of days we'll see an even bigger improvement!
