First South Carolina Trip

The girls survived our trip to South Carolina over Katie Marie's fall break. We left Thursday after KM's parent/teacher conference with Mrs. Snow and arrived at Grandmama Shealy's about 10pm. We only stopped twice and both times it was for us to get gas or food. Ella traved GREAT! We were afraid she would struggle traveling at night...we've noticed that she doesn't like being in the dark. So we took two glow in the dark sticks...those you see a lot of at July 4...and I hung one from the handle beside Ella's carseat. It worked out great, just like a little nightlight. Katie Marie enjoyed being able to see Abby, who turned one while we are there. She looks like a "Little Jeff". Aunt Donna and "Uncle Pop"
(as KM calls him)
were proud, proud grandparents.
Grandmama and Ella Grace hit it off so well! Ella Grace cooed and smiled for her as if they were catching up on old times. What a special moment!! Our travel back to TN was uneventful. We did stop in Cookeville to see my step-dad, Jim, and drop him off is birthday present...boiled peanuts!!
